your narration reminds me of the retreat of the famous music director jaidev, who lost his muse in the form of an open window overlooking the nature, when he shifted to a flat in concrete jungle, when he became relatively prosporous. His earlier small room as a paying guest was instrumental in providing classic tunes from hum dono to ankahee. After shifting to a concrete jungle flat, he lost touch with nature and could not get his ability to spark the music.
You may not be so lucky to kick the job, but you can certaily take a break in the form of a walk.
